Kathy Tucker, managing broker of Crye-Leike Realtors in Chattanooga, was installed as 2017 secretary-treasurer for the Tennessee Association of Realtors at its fall convention. Through this role, she will serve as part of the statewide association’s 10-member executive committee.

Tucker (CRS, GRI) is a 38-year veteran of the real estate profession. She is a member of the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors (GCAR), where she has served as president (2004 and 2006), chair of multiple committees (including Governmental Affairs and Strategic Planning), and MLS president, among other leadership roles. She was named GCAR’s 2004 Realtor of the Year. In 2015, she was honored with the George Kangles Community/Citizenship Award. She is a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors and Certified Residential Specialists.

At the state level, Tucker’s leadership roles have included division three vice president, president of the Tennessee Real Estate Education Foundation, chair of the Professional Standards and Governmental Affairs committees, member of the Budget & Finance Committee, and TAR Director since 2003. Nationally, she has served as an NAR director and as a member of the MLS Issues & Policies and Professional Standards committees.

Tucker is engaged in her community, having served as a volunteer leader for Habitat for Humanity, the YMCA, and United Way. She is a recipient of Crye-Leike’s Good Neighbor Award.

“I’m passionate about real estate, serving our members, and the issues we face,” Tucker said. “I will work hard to ensure we continue to strengthen the value of working with a Realtor and improve our value through education and advocacy.”
