Minority Health Fair this Saturday




“Closing the Gap,” the 13th annual Hamilton County Minority Health Fair, will be held Saturday, Aug. 22 at Eastgate Town Center on Brainerd Road, from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Over 125 free screening and health education services will be available. Call 778-LINK (5465) to pre-register.

This event is open to everyone. There will be door prizes, entertainment and much more.

Unwanted RX drug take-back during the Health Fair is sponsored by Tennessee American Water.

Assisted at the Minority Health Fair are individuals impacted by healthcare disparities. Those individuals being young, old, underemployed, unemployed, students, able-bodied, disabled, and more. The health fair is an opportunity for SETHC to assist communities in Chattanooga and surrounding areas receive the essential care needed to continue maintaining and improving healthy communities.

The Hamilton County Coalition, Hamilton County Sheriff’s office and Tennessee American Water will be participating.
