John B. Phillips re-joins Miller & Martin




John B. Phillips has re-joined Miller & Martin’s Labor & Employment Department.

Prior to re-joining Miller & Martin, Phillips was the senior vice president and general counsel for CraftWorks Restaurants & Breweries. His career also led him to be vice president and deputy general counsel for Coca-Cola Enterprises. Additionally, Phillips served as managing partner of Miller & Martin from 1997-2002.

Phillips has served as chairman or president of the boards of the Tennessee Aquarium, Chattanooga Visitor Bureau, Kiwanis Club of Chattanooga, Chattanooga State Foundation, and the Boys and Girls Club of Chattanooga, as well as serving on various other boards.

Jim Haley, chairman of the firm, said, “John has 40 years’ experience in the labor and employment area, and is a recognized authority in that practice as evidenced by his being listed in The Best Lawyers in America and Mid-South Super Lawyers. We are very pleased to have him re-join us.”

Phillips focuses his practice on labor and employment matters. He works with employers of all sizes in a variety of industries to develop and implement personnel policies, compliance programs, affirmative action plans, alternative dispute resolution programs, training programs, reductions in force, and other major reorganizations. He will be particularly focused on providing training to supervisors, HR professionals and executives.
