Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Institute celebrates 15 years of impacting women’s lives

The Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Institute on Friday, Dec. 13 celebrated its 15th anniversary during its final Leadership Luncheon of the year. The program was held at The Chattanoogan.

Founded in 1998 by seven local women, CWLI is a local non-profit, non-partisan organization whose mission is to increase the leadership capabilities and influence of women in all sectors of public life and private enterprise by offering educational, networking, and information gathering programs throughout the year.

The Leadership Luncheon celebrated CWLI’s 15th anniversary by featuring a panel discussion with some of CWLI’s founders; testimonials from current members about their involvement with CWLI and what the organization means to them; and a brief summary of goals for CWLI’s future.

“We are excited to celebrate fifteen years of empowering women in the Chattanooga community,” said Lesley Berryhill, managing director of CWLI. “This Leadership Luncheon provided an opportunity for women in Chattanooga to learn more about CWLI - where we came from, what we’re doing now, and our plans for the future.”
