Miller & Martin adds April F. Holland to the firm’s corporate department




April F. Holland has joined Miller & Martin’s Corporate Department as an Associate. 

“It is a privilege to have April join our firm. Her business experience will greatly compliment the depth of expertise of our Corporate Department,” said Ward Nelson, co-chair of the firm’s Corporate Department.

Holland earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia in Anthropology and Global Culture and Commerce in 2006. She went on to receive a Juris Doctorate degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2010. While in law school, Holland served as student coordinator for the UNCTAD and W&L Joint Symposium on International Investment and ADR, student research associate editor for the Lexington Principles on the Rights of Detainees, student member of the American Inns of Court, and participated in the International Law Society, European Court of Human Rights Practicum, and International Tribunals Practicum. Following law school, Holland attended Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Leuven, Belgium, where she earned a Masters of Law degree with a concentration in European Economic and Financial Law in 2012.

Holland was a summer associate at Miller & Martin in 2009 and 2010. Prior to joining the firm, she gained considerable experience from positions at Mediaedge:cia - MEC:Interaction, the Rutherford Institute, the United Nations Secretariat, and the U.S. Federal District Court for the Western District of Virginia.
