FwdHealth launches wellness management campaign

Chattanooga-based FwdHealth has launched its social media campaign to raise awareness about its new platform for wellness management and identify participants for its upcoming pilot project. The FwdHealth platform is essentially Progressive’s Snapshot for an individual’s health. It integrates popular wellness applications and trackers into one platform that allows users to manage their goals instead of multiple apps.

Users can collect and share their aggregate information with their health plan and other stakeholders to demonstrate a healthy lifestyle.

“Wellness management is the emerging frontier of the healthcare industry with its focus on prevention rather than reaction. However, FwdHealth believes insurers and others are good at collecting information inside of the doctor’s office, but are not as good at collecting critical lifestyle information that drives healthcare utilization,” said Shayne Woods, president of FwdHealth. “Today, there’s a massive divide between lifestyle and clinical data. This divide results in higher costs and lower quality of care. We’re on a mission to save Americans money for taking control of their health.”

FwdHealth is currently developing its beta product. The company graduated from the Springboard course offered by CO.LAB, a Chattanooga-based startup generator. The FwdHealth team consists of Woods, Communications Director Max Rava, Creative Director Vianey Gonzalez-Leal, and Software Engineer Tre Williams.

This summer, FwdHealth will launch its pilot project – Fwd WellSaver. The program will initially be offered to Tennessee entities, then opened to entities in other states.
