Tickets on sale for Taste – Kidney Foundation fundraiser

Buy your tickets now for Taste, a fundraising food event benefitting the Kidney Foundation of the Greater Chattanooga Area, featuring some of the best cuisine and couture Chattanooga has to offer Thursday, March 7, from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. at Stratton Hall.

Guests will enjoy unlimited sampling from over 20 locally owned and operated restaurants plus one drink ticket to be used for beer, wine, or other non-alcoholic beverage. Liquor will be available at a cash bar.

For the first time, guests will also have the option of reserving through the Taste website a full table for seating and socializing with their friends or company colleagues.

In the spirit of all things food, the chef competition will be the highlight of Taste. The competition, from 7 to 8 p.m., will include prestigious Chattanooga chefs competing to create a gourmet dish using one secret ingredient provided by Whole Foods Market.

The winning chef will be selected by a panel of judges to receive a prize at the end of the evening.

Taste will consist of a variety of local cuisine ranging from the familiar, like Southern Burger Company or Petunia’s Silver Jalapeno, to the elegant St. John’s Meeting Place, to the Mexican flavors of Ovalle’s Mexican Café, among others.

Local musicians including alternative songwriting duo Woodford Sessions and local funk band Function will complement the array of food served at Taste. Couture clothing will also be a feature of Taste, with strolling models wearing fashions provided by some of Chattanooga’s local boutiques.

Taste will provide financial support for programs and services of the Kidney Foundation of the Greater Chattanooga Area, keeping all funds raised from participants and donors in the city.
