The Nutcracker Christmas Carol

“The Nutcracker Christmas Carol” has returned to Chattanooga State. The annual offering by the Chattanooga State Repertory Theatre combines several Christmas stories into a family-oriented holiday musical. Performances will take place Friday, December 14 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, December 15 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, December 16 at 2:30 p.m. at the Chattanooga State Humanities Theatre. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Open house at Cravens’ House

Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park invites the public to attend on Friday a holiday open house at Cravens House.  Cravens House will be decorated in a manner similar to the Civil War era.  Tours will be conducted every 30 minutes beginning at 6 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m.  Reservations are required due to limited space.  To make a reservation, and for more information about the event, contact the Lookout Mountain Battlefield Visitor Center at 423-821-7786. The Cravens House is located on the historic Lookout Mountain Battlefield.

Young Women’s Leadership Academy Odyssey 2013 Luncheon

Individual tickets for the Young Women’s Leadership Academy Foundation’s annual fundraiser and luncheon, Odyssey, are available for purchase.  The fourth annual event will take place Tuesday, February 12 at noon and will be held at the Chattanooga Convention Center. Odyssey 2013 will feature Nashville-based recording artist and author Jimmy Wayne as the speaker and entertainer.  Wayne is the author of “Paper Angels” and the founder of the nonprofit, Project Meet Me Halfway.  Odyssey 2013 is being co-chaired by Donna Knowles Killian and Lillie Wills, supporters and friends of CGLA.
