Miller & Martin adds Jennifer Terry to Labor & Employment Department

Miller & Martin last week announced Jennifer Terry as its newest associate to the firm. Terry joins the firm as an associate in the Labor & Employment Department in its Chattanooga office.

“It’s a privilege to have Jennifer join our growing team of Labor & Employment attorneys. Her proven ability demonstrated through her academic success aligns with Miller & Martin’s dedication to providing outstanding client service,” said John Bode, chair of the firm’s Labor & Employment department.

Originally from Signal Mountain, Terry graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2002 with a B.A. in English. While at MTSU, she was recognized as an Honors College Graduate and received the English Department’s Richard and Virginia Peck Award along with the Homer Pittard Writing Award. Terry also studied abroad at the University of Havana in Cuba. She received her M.A. in Comparative Literature from Louisiana State University in 2005, where she was awarded a research and teaching assistantship. Prior to attending law school, Terry worked at the law firm of Davis & Hoss, where she gained administrative understanding of the legal industry.

In 2012, Terry received her J.D. from Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law. She was awarded the George W. Woodruff Scholarship and served as the Senior Managing Editor of the Mercer Law Review. While in law school, she received the Faculty Legal Writing Award and awards for her performance in Property, Contracts, and Appellate Practice and Procedure. Terry was the Treasurer of the Legal Aid Volunteer Association and was named as Mercer’s 2012 Outstanding Law Student by the National Association of Women Lawyers.
