NOTICE OF JUDICIAL VACANCY




General Sessions Court of Hamilton County, 

Division IV

Pursuant to the provisions of Tenn. Code Ann. §17-2-116(a)(1), notice is hereby given that the Governor’s Office is accepting applications to appoint and commission a special judge for the General Sessions Court of Hamilton County, Division IV.

Tenn. Code Ann. §17-2-116(a)(1) provides: “When any of the judges of the circuit courts, criminal courts, other special courts or courts of general sessions, or any of the chancellors, is unable from sickness or other physical disability to attend and hold any of the courts at the time and place required by law, the governor shall appoint and commission a special judge who shall have the same qualifications as the regular judge to attend and hold such courts for and during the absence or disability of any such judges.”

All interested attorneys should submit a resume and cover letter to the Governor’s Office for consideration.  Resumes and cover letters should be submitted to the Counsel to the Governor’s Office, State Capitol, First Floor, 600 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN 37243 for receipt no later than Friday, October 19, 2012.
