Henderson earns Certified Distressed Property Expert designation

Crye-Leike Chattanooga Realtor Rachael Henderson knows the importance of keeping her knowledge of the housing market update, so she takes pride in continuing her real estate education to better serve her clients. She recently decided to earn a professional real estate designation as a Certified Distressed Property Expert to help people who are falling behind on their mortgage payments.

“I make it a priority in my business to be always learning,” said Henderson. “The Certified Distressed Property Expert designation gives me the tools to help homeowners facing financial difficulties.

I love selling homes, but saving them is rewarding beyond compare.”

Realtors who have earned the CDPE designation have completed extensive training in foreclosure avoidance and short sales.

“The CDPE designation has given me the proper training I need to work with sellers and lenders on handling the complexities of short sales and negotiating with major banks to help financially strapped homeowners regain peace of mind and a sense of stability for the future,” said Rachael. “The knowledge I’ve gained from earning this designation will help me to better assist my clients with avoiding foreclosures and keeping their dream of homeownership alive.”

Henderson is a licensed Realtor in Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama.  She works with buyers and sellers out of the company’s Downtown Chattanooga office. She assists clients in and around Hamilton, Marion and Sequatchie counties in Tennessee, Catoosa, Dade and Walker counties in Georgia, and Jackson and Dekalb counties in Alabama. Henderson specializes in all types of residential real estate sales – including first-time homebuyers, relocation, condos, foreclosures, and investment properties.

Henderson has also completed training and earned her real estate certifications as an e-PRO Internet marketing specialist, as an Accredited Buyer Representative, as a Certified Short Sales Specialist and as an Accredited Home Staging Specialist.

“In the tough economic times, we are seeing more and more homes in danger of falling into foreclosure, which can be financially and emotionally devastating for the homeowner,” said Henderson. “Distressed homeowners facing foreclosure often proceed without guidance, but a homeowner in distress should speak with a licensed real estate professional to discover their best options. The most important fact for financially distressed homeowners to keep in mind: the sooner help is sought, the better.”

Henderson lives in Wildwood, Ga., and has been a licensed Realtor for seven years. She is a member of the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors, the Georgia Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
