Santa Fe has remained a capital to the modern day. Albany has been occupied since 1614. Boston has been occupied since 1630. Richmond has been occupied since 1645. 4. South Dakota. Hopefully you didn’t forget Alaska and Hawaii. The geographic center of the United States is located in South Dakota about 30 miles northeast of Belle Fourche.
