Now through Jan. 1 – EPB holiday window displays: A Chattanooga tradition continues with the animated holiday windows at EPB. View animated displays from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. at 10 West MLK Boulevard. Now through Jan. 1 – Hiking and caving adventures at Cloudland Canyon: G3 Adventures and Cloudland Canyon State Park in Georgia will host hiking and caving adventures through New Year’s Day. Activities will include half-day and all-day hikes, and introductory and wild caving adventures. For additional details, call 706-657-4050.

Now through Feb. 29 – Works by Duncan

Duncan, a Brooklyn native and Chattanooga sculptor, will present his “investigations of creating objects in space that imply life” through Feb. 29 at Bessie Smith Cultural Center. Dec. 30 – Bruce Bruce & Friends

Stand-up comedian Bruce Bruce will perform at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium Dec. 30 at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at www.chattanoogaonstage.com.

Dec. 31 – Karen Lawrence Run for St. Jude

Before the New Year’s Eve party, grab your running shoes and join the annual Karen Lawrence Run to benefit St. Jude, beginning at 5 p.m. in downtown Chattanooga. Runners can choose to run or walk a two-mile course or run a four-mile course, starting and ending at the Sports Barn. Online registration is open through December 28. Jan. 1-2 – “First Hikes” at Tennessee state parks

Tennessee State Parks will offer “First Hikes” on January 1 and 2 to celebrate the New Year and the 75th anniversary of the state’s parks. Participating parks include Harrison Bay, Booker T. Washington, Red Clay, and Hiwassee and Ocoee Scenic River. All hikes will be rated easy to moderate and cover anywhere from one to four miles, depending on location.

Jan. 3 – Get Plugged In at the Chamber

Learn more about how the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce can benefit you and your business. From 8-9:30 a.m. For members and non-members. Free. Light breakfast.

Jan. 5 – Life drawing open studio at Townsend Atelier

Open studios are non-instructed sessions with live models. A combination of short and long poses will be done. Participants may work at their own pace and with any medium. Easels and tables will be provided. All levels of experience are welcome. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Cost: $15.

Jan. 9-10 – Auditions at Chattanooga Theatre Center

Auditions for “The Mousetrap” by Agatha Christie, playing on the MainStage from March 16 through April 1, 2012, will be held Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m. Scripts are available at the Box Office. A $20 deposit is required to check out a script for 48 hours.
