Introduced as the “next governor of Tennessee,” Mayor P.R. Olgiati thanked 2,000 to 3,000 supporters and friends gathered at Warner Park in a “grassroots” movement on his behalf, but was non-committal on entering the race.

Mrs. Dorothy Brammer, County Register, presented County Judge Frost a check for $31,280 excess fees for the five-month period ending September 1; making her total in excess fees for the year ending September 1 $74,080, a new record. Excess fees represent money left from the income of an office after the payment of all expenses.

WDOD became Chattanooga’s most powerful radio station broadcasting 24 hours a day Monday morning.

County Judge Frost, in his talk to Chattanooga Board of Realtors Wednes-day in Hotel Patten, said, “It is time for us to start putting governments together – to end overlapping functions.” A type of metropolitan government is the answer to local government problems here, he said.
