Monday, May 15

John H. Reddy, a Chattanooga attorney, Monday was confirmed by the U.S. Senate for a four-year term as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee.

Tuesday, May 16

The annual luncheon meeting of the Hamilton County Tuberculosis Assoc-iation at St. Paul’s parish house heard William B. Davis, director of health, education and public relations for Davidson County Health Department, say the immediate goal of this decade is to make it the “significant “sixties” in the control of TB with a goal of 10 cases per 100,000 people on a national level, 27 cases per 100,000 in Tennessee and 37 per 100,000 in Hamilton County.

Wednesday, May 17

“Modern Made,” a Chattanooga Junior Achievement company, has been named best of some 575 such companies in the Southern region.

Friday, May 19

The Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce Dynamo of Dixie Membership Contact Club obtained 41 new Chamber members in the second month of its drive.
