Events: Men’s Health Summit




Tennessee Men’s Health Network, Mount Canaan Baptist Church and Purpose Point Community Health will host the 2024 Chattanooga Men’s Health Summit April 6, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Mount Canaan Baptist Church (4801 Highway 58). The event will be free and feature health discussions, screenings, vendors and door prizes.

Ribbon Run

CHI Memorial Foundation’s River City Ribbon Run 5K will take place on the Chattanooga State campus. Proceeds raised through the Ribbon Run will benefit Tennessee and North Georgia patients of CHI Memorial’s Rees Skillern Cancer Institute. The event can be done as a timed 5K run, an untimed 5K walk or a one-mile fun run. Registration, check-in and warmup activities will begin at 8 a.m. The 5K run will start at 9 a.m.; the fun run and 5K walk will start at 9:15 a.m. Food trucks, a kids zone and a health expo will be on-site until 11 a.m. Register

Free rabies vaccination

Central Church of Christ will host this clinic and pet care event noon-4 p.m. at 400 Vine Street. The vaccine will be provided on a first-come, first served basis while supplies last. Pets will also have access to free nail trimmings provided by veterinarian Ashley King and a complimentary bath – weather permitting. Local food truck Street Quesadilla will also be on-site.
