Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel has added Lindsey Clute to its marketing and business development department as a marketing and communications specialist.
Clute will assist with creating opportunities and promoting the firm through content generation, digital and social media campaigns, internal and external events and media relations. She brings prior experience working for a local media group and various small-business owners to the role.
Clute is a member of the Southeast Chapter of the Legal Marketing Association and a member of the Public Relations Society of America Lookout Chapter. She graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a bachelor’s in marketing.
CHI Memorial Foundation sets board members
CHI Memorial Foundation, the fundraising arm of CHI Memorial, has selected the officers and members of its board of directors for 2022-2023.
Julie Brandao will continue her role as chair of the board of directors, Will Clegg will serve as vice chair, Lacy Burd will serve as secretary and Patti Dungan will serve as treasurer.
Roshan Amin, Jim Cardwell, Mark Hite, Quincy Jenkins and Pam McKenney are new members of the board. They join Jonathan Adams, Dr. Deanna Brown, Dr. Zac Brown, Rob Carden, Camille Daniel, Gina Dhanani, Dr. James Headrick, Jeremy Jenkins, Laura Ketcham, Steve McNally, Rick Partain, James Pesnell, Dr, Kelly Richardson, Dr. Betsy Washburn, Dr. Taylor Whaley and Chad Young.
Amin is the president and CEO of Dynamic Group, which he launched in 2011. Cardwell serves as the chief financial officer and chief operating officer of Doug Yates Towing & Recovery. Hite is the head of the Mark Hite Team at Real Estate Partners. Jenkins serves as the vice president of organizational culture and engagement at Chattanooga State Community College. McKenney worked as a CPA for Deloitte and General Electric Co., where she also held additional accounting, finance and strategy positions before retiring.
CHI Memorial Foundation raised $6.1 million in fiscal year 2022 to support capital, equipment, programmatic and outreach projects within CHI Memorial.
GPS hires new varsity lacrosse coach
After four years as the Girls Preparatory School varsity lacrosse coach, Jay Watts will focus his efforts on his role as the director of athletics this spring.
Replacing Watts as head coach is former Division II lacrosse standout Abby Fortner, who joins the coaching ranks at GPS after working for the last two seasons as the varsity coach at Signal Mountain High School.
Fortner will be the fifth head coach in the history of the Bruisers’ program, which started playing interscholastically in 2005.
Fortner played for four years at Lee University and was a starter on the Flames’ defense. While on campus at Lee, Fortner was a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, the Gulf South Conference Honor Roll and the NCAA Women’s Lacrosse All-Academic Team.
She played high school lacrosse at Gatlinburg-Pittman High School in Gatlinburg.
