Tyler Clark is the new director of operations of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s women’s basketball program.
Clark comes to Chattanooga from Wheeling University in West Virginia, where he was a graduate assistant with the women’s basketball team. The Cardinals finished second in the regular season and reached the Final Four of the Mountain East Conference Tournament.
Before his arrival at Wheeling, Clark spent four seasons as an assistant coach with the boys team at Summerville High School in South Carolina.
Clark is a member of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association. He completed his MBA at Wheeling after earning a degree in early childhood education at Bowling Green University.
Plank to lead First Horizon Signal Mountain center
First Horizon Bank recently named Melissa Plank manager of its banking center on Signal Mountain.
Plank began her career with First Horizon four years ago, working her way up from relief teller and universal banker to relationship banker before being named to her new position.
Plank is a graduate of Sale Creek High School and Chattanooga State.
Chattanooga St. names O’Hagan impact director
Patrick O’Hagan is now serving as Chattanooga State Community College’s regional impact director. O’Hagan has served as the full-time interim director of the school’s Kimball site and as regional workforce development liaison in Marion County since Julie Bennett’s retirement in 2020.
O’Hagan reports to the associate vice president for academic affairs and the vice president of economic and workforce development while managing the Kimball site. He also will oversee the economic and workforce development activities throughout the site’s regional service area.
A lifelong Marion County resident, O’Hagan graduated from Chattanooga State with an Associate of Arts transfer degree, a degree in biology from Martin Methodist College and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction at Tennessee Tech University.
Hardison steps down from Medal Center
Charles H. Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center executive director Keith Hardison resigned Oct. 8 to serve as the director of interpretation at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage in Nashville.
The Heritage Center’s board of trustees appointed David Currey to serve as interim executive director.
Currey was the lead historian and interpretative designer for the Heritage Center’s exhibit gallery and serves on the Heritage Center’s board.
