Lester appointed to AILA Ethics Committee

The American Immigration Lawyers Association has appointed Chattanooga immigration attorney Martin Lester to its National Ethics Committee.

In this role, Lester will work with AILA’s Practice and Professionalism Center to provide materials and resources on legal ethics issues AILA members face in today’s immigration law practice.

This appointment continues Martin’s involvement with AILA at the national level. He is currently completing his second term as chair of the AILA National Military Committee, where he leads the AILA Military Assistance Program, a nationwide pro bono service of more than 600 volunteer attorneys providing free immigration law assistance to members of the Armed Forces and recent veterans.

Lester’s immigration practice includes representation of individuals, families and businesses. He has appeared on CNN’s “The Lead with Jake Tapper” and in national news outlets, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, Reuters and ABC News.

Martin is an opinion contributor to The Hill, including articles analyzing the immigration plans of presidential candidates.

In 2019 and 2020, he was selected to the Mid-South Super Lawyers list.
