Hubert A. Pless, Jr., executive vice-president of Real Estate Management, Inc., will attend a weeklong course dealing with development and management of industrial properties in Boston, conducted by the Institute of Real Estate Management.
Tuesday, April 26
Baird Motor Company in East Ridge has been purchased by Patten Motor Company, which has assumed its Rambler dealership, William T. Patten of Patten Motors announced Tuesday.
Thursday, April 28
Larry A. Schwartz and John H. Guthrie, University of Chattanooga students, were announced as the winners of $3000 scholarships to the University of Cincinnati law school. Schwartz won the E.Y. Chapin law scholarship and Guthrie received the Ben F. Thomas award. The announcement was made at UC’s Honors Day ceremonies at Patten Chapel. Wanda Mann received the coveted senior award for highest scholastic standing.
Friday, April 29
Miss Anne Hubbard Dudley will be crowned queen of the GPS May Day celebration Friday afternoon at the school. Miss Jean Elizabeth Holly will be maid of honor.
