Newsmakers: McNabb joins Magnolia Trust




Attorney Rebecca McNabb has joined Magnolia Trust Company as an adviser to support the areas of complex estate planning and trust administration issues.

A recent graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law, McNabb is pursuing her Master of Laws in taxation from the University of Alabama.

McNabb is a Chattanooga native who previously served as a law clerk at Elder Law of East Tennessee and Legal Aid of East Tennessee. There she drafted estate planning documents and deeds, assisted with consumer protection issues and records requests and conducted case research.

Her internships include Hamilton County Chancery Court, the offices of Senators Bob Corker and Lamar Alexander and an established trust company in the region.

While obtaining her doctorate in jurisprudence, McNabb served as a student attorney in the wills clinic and a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance site coordinator for the College of Law.

Siskin promotes Dinger to VP

Siskin Hospital has promoted Teresa Dinger to vice president of patient access and marketing.

Dinger’s responsibilities include oversight of case management and outpatient access in addition to her current responsibilities of marketing, philanthropy and inpatient and subacute access and business development.

Dinger brings more than 30 years of marketing experience to her expanded role, 27 of which have been at Siskin Hospital. Most recently, she served as administrative director of marketing and referral relations.

Dinger is a graduate of Leadership Chattanooga and a 2015 Women of Distinction honoree.

During her tenure at Siskin Hospital, Dinger and her team have won numerous local, regional and national advertising awards.

Green|spaces taps new director of partnerships

Local sustainability nonprofit green|spaces has named Tj Tate its new director of partnerships.

Tate brings nearly 20 years of work in sustainability to the role. She began her career in fisheries at Hubbs Research Institute while pursuing her Master of Marine Science at the University San Diego. She then founded and was the director of a brand of responsibly harvested and traceable wild-caught fish in the Gulf of Mexico, Gulf Wild.

Tate’s most recent role as the director of seafood sustainability at the National Aquarium involved creating a national consumer awareness campaign stimulating consumer demand for responsible aquaculture.

Tate is a member of the White House Task Force for Sustainable Seafood, serves on the steering committee for the Coalition for U.S. Seafood attProduction and is a Fellow in the Seafood & Oceans Leadership Institute.

KraftCPAs adds to Chattanooga team

Spencer Mercer has joined KraftCPAs’ Chattanooga location.

A CPA and senior manager with Kraft’s tax services group, Mercer has worked for Kraft in Nashville since 2009. He has experience in the construction and manufacturing, wholesale and distribution industries and focuses on tax planning, consulting and compliance at the corporate and individual level.

He is a University of Tennessee graduate and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants.
