Crutchfield and Ghaly join Miller & Martin




Attorneys Alexis Crutchfield and Fady Ghaly have joined the Chattanooga office of Miller & Martin.

Crutchfield practices within the firm’s litigation department, primarily working on business litigation and labor and employment matters.

Before joining Miller & Martin, she worked in the legal services department for a major Tennessee-based utility company and as a judicial intern at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.

Crutchfield holds a law degree from Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C., where she served as a student attorney with the Howard Child Welfare Clinic and represented clients in D.C. Superior Court.

She earned an undergraduate degree in psychology from Samford University in Birmingham.

Crutchfield spent one summer with Miller & Martin as a summer associate while completing law school.

She is a member of Miller & Martin’s Women’s Network, a group of attorneys focused on initiatives that support and elevate women in the legal profession and the communities they serve.

Ghaly works within the firm’s corporate department. With a focus on corporate law, he has experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and venture capital financing.

His practice includes assisting entities through each stage of the business life cycle, including general corporate contracting and compliance.

Ghaly also has years of in-house experience with the privacy practices legal department of a Fortune 250 company. Most of his work focused on compliance, cybersecurity and information management.

He has helped manage various security incidents, has assisted in compliance with a number of cybersecurity laws and advised in the defense of federal investigations by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services’ Office for Civil Rights and the state attorney general.

Ghaly holds a degree from Florida State University College of Law and an undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Central Florida.

He spent two summers at Miller & Martin as a summer associate.
