Newsmakers: La Paz welcomes Irma Velazquez




La Paz Chattanooga has added Irma Velazquez to its business development team as business development coordinator. Velazquez is a native of Mexico who has spent most of her life in the U.S. and has lived in Chattanooga since 1999.

Velazquez will support Compañía, La Paz Chattanooga’s business development department, which works with the local business community to create opportunities for local professionals seeking to network with the Latino community, provide professional development programming for Latino entrepreneurs to build their skill set and connect businesses and agencies to the Latino market.

HHM CPAs adds tax manager, firm administrator

HHM Certified Public Accountants has hired a tax manager and a firm administrator to expand services and support growth.

HHM welcomes CPA Wendi Coley as its newest tax manager. Coley brings 30 years’ experience to the tax group. For the past eight years, Coley was the owner of an accounting firm in Orange County, California, where she provided tax compliance, accounting, QuickBooks consulting and bookkeeping services before relocating to Chattanooga.

Keith Hall brings over 35 years’ experience to the firm administrator role. His knowledge and background in controller and accountant services prepares him for his role overseeing firm accounting and bookkeeping functions. Previously, Hall worked in the private accounting industry, where he managed financial reporting, cash, lines of credit and accounting personnel.
