Newsmakers: DeJaco retires, Gary named Erlanger CFO




Erlanger Health announced the retirement of Lynn DeJaco, executive vice president and chief financial officer, who stepped down Feb. 28 after nearly five years with the organization and a 35-year career in health care leadership.

During her tenure, DeJaco provided financial oversight and strategic leadership, serving as a mentor and advocate for Erlanger’s mission and for the health care industry in Tennessee and nationally.

Erlanger also announced that Stephanie Gary has been appointed chief financial officer, effective March 1. Gary has served as senior vice president of operational finance and resource effectiveness and previously worked as CFO of a not-for-profit health system on the East Coast before joining Erlanger in August 2025.

City selects director of connectivity, design

The city of Chattanooga has appointed Elsy Interiano as director of design and connectivity, a leadership role focused on advancing the city’s multi-modal infrastructure and the Chattanooga Parks and Outdoors Plan.

Interiano holds a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Louisiana State University and a master’s degree in geographic information systems from the University of Denver. Her background includes master planning, urban design and environmental research.

Interiano previously served as a transportation review specialist for the city and was project manager for the 14th Street Neighborhood Bikeway Project. She has also held management roles in residential and commercial housing developments in Colorado and Louisiana, overseeing budgets of up to $650,000, and has been active with the city’s Multimodal Advisory Committee.

In her new role, Interiano will oversee design and planning efforts aimed at improving connectivity and access to green spaces across the city.

McDonough joins Commonspirit urology

CommonSpirit Medical Group has added Meghan McDonough to CommonSpirit Medical Group – Urology in Hixson. McDonough earned a bachelor’s degree in genetics from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina, and a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Florida State University in Tallahassee.

She has more than five years of patient care experience and is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Family medicine practice adds Moro in Harrison

CommonSpirit Medical Group has added Leslie Moro to its family medicine practice in Harrison. Moro attended the United States Air Force Academy for two years before earning her nursing degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. 

She later earned a doctor of nursing practice degree from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City and holds a master’s degree in psychology from Auburn University.

She worked eight years as a hospital nurse and has eight years of experience as a nurse practitioner.

The practice is located at 6800 Harrison Park Drive in Harrison. Clinic hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m.-noon Friday. The office welcomes new patients age 6 and older.
