Newsmakers: TVFCU promotes Henn to leadership post

Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union has promoted Ryan Henn to vice president of business and commercial services, succeeding Tommy Nix, who will retire in March after 11 years with the credit union.

In his new role, Henn will provide strategic leadership for TVFCU’s business and commercial services division, overseeing all business and commercial functions as well as the organization’s signature “Idea Leap” grants and loans program.

Henn joined TVFCU in 2015 and has advanced through several positions, including business lender, business and commercial services manager and most recently assistant vice president of business and commercial services.

Before joining TVFCU, Henn worked in community banking and with the Tennessee Small Business Development Center, advising entrepreneurs and business owners on growth and long-term stability strategies. He holds a degree in business management from Bryan College and is a graduate of the Southeast School of Banking at Vanderbilt University.

He is also a Certified Credit Union Business Lending Professional through the University of Wisconsin.

Henn is active in the Chattanooga community as a member of the Chattanooga Downtown Rotary Club, board chair of Y-CAP, a metro board member at the YMCA and a member of the CHI Memorial Foundation PINK! sponsorship committee. He is also a graduate of Leadership Chattanooga’s Class of 2019.

Henn and his wife, Jessica, have two daughters, Leigha and Lainey. He enjoys golfing, spending time outdoors and coaching his daughters’ sports teams.

EPB names Hoover, Kaiser vice presidents

The EPB board has confirmed the appointment of two leaders.

Julie Hoover will serve as vice president of human resources beginning March 9. Mike Kaiser, currently assistant vice president of finance, has been promoted to vice president of finance.

Hoover brings more than 20 years of human resources leadership experience across manufacturing, logistics, health care staffing and high-growth startups. She currently leads human resources for Miller Industries, overseeing HR strategy and operations.

Hoover previously served as an HR manager at Lamp Post Group, where she developed scalable HR practices for startups during growth phases. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and an MBA from Bryan College.

Kaiser has been with EPB since 2005, serving in progressively senior finance roles. He currently leads accounting and commercial sales functions and guides banking relationships, investment strategy and long-term financial planning.

Among his accomplishments, Kaiser directed EPB’s most recent public bond offerings, including rating agency presentations that secured favorable ratings. Prior to joining EPB, he held leadership roles in public accounting and manufacturing.

He is a licensed CPA and earned a degree in business administration with a major in accounting and an MBA from Tennessee Technological University.
