Marcy Eason selected as national delegate to advance women’s economic & social equality

Miller & Martin attorney Marcy Eason has been selected to serve a two-year term as a National Delegate for Tennessee for Vision 2020, a nationwide initiative focused on women’s economic and social equality. Vision 2020 is a national coalition of organizations and individuals launched in 2010 through the Institute for Women’s Health and Leadership at Drexel University College of Medicine. In 2020, the nation will celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the passage of the 19th amendment, which has strong ties to Tennessee leaders.

Delegates are selected based on demonstrated commitment to helping women or girls. Delegates are recognized as a leader in, and affiliated with organizations, striving to advance women in leadership and willing to mobilize individual and professional resources to bring about positive change in women’s equality.

“It’s an honor and a privilege to have been selected for service as a National Delegate for Tennessee. Vision 2020’s focus on women’s issues is essential, especially with the increasing number of women as primary or sole sources of income for families with children. I look forward to the opportunity to work with such amazing women from across the nation on such an exciting project, and to bringing forward women leaders from Tennessee to further Vision 2020 goals,” said Eason.

Eason concentrates her practice on civil litigation including commercial litigation, lender liability, and products liability. She has been involved in complex litigation since 1985, including failed banks and class actions. She has prosecuted civil director and officer liability claims, malpractice claims, and insurance claims involving banks and financial institutions.

Eason provides general risk management advice and product liability counsel for a pharmaceuticals company in the U.S. and Canada, and participates as appropriate for trial.

Eason has an AV rating in Martindale-Hubbell.
