As part of Habitat for Humanity’s Home Builders Blitz 2017, which took place June 5-9 across the U.S., Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga Area and Collier Construction helped a family of four build a new four-bedroom and two-bathroom home in a Habitat for Humanity community located in Alton Park.

The home was the ninth Habitat home built in the Alton Park community.

During Habitat’s annual Home Builders Blitz, professional homebuilders and suppliers donate labor, funding and materials to provide more than 200 families across the U.S. with improved shelter.

The owner of Collier Construction and former board chairman of the local Habitat for Humanity, Ethan Collier, and 30 employees volunteered more than 300 hours to set the roof trusses and install widows, siding and exterior doors.
