It’s all aboard for sculpture when the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum train departs the station from Sculpture Fields to celebrate Once in a Blue Choo Choo. The event is the park’s annual fundraiser Sept. 22 at 5:30 p.m.
Guests are invited to don their favorite blue ensembles for this one-of-a-kind event benefiting the 33-acre international sculpture park, the largest in the Southeast.
Blues and old-time jazz music by Gino Fanelli will be featured.
Catch the train at Sculpture Fields, 1800 Polk St. The event pre- and post- parties take place among 47 pieces of large-scale sculpture. Tickets are $250 per person, and tables of four may be reserved aboard the train. The event has limited seating, so reservations are on a first come, first served basis.
There will be a selection of blue-themed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, a four-course dinner aboard the train, then desserts and coffee awaiting passengers when they disembark. Each guest will receive an original commemorative cocktail cup created by artist Charlie Pfitzer.

Fashion fights cancer
The BRA-VO! Fashion Show, benefiting Breast Cancer Support Services and celebrating local cancer survivors, will be held Sunday, Sept. 23 at 2 p.m.
The fashion show features Chattanooga area breast cancer survivors as models. They strut their stuff down the runway wearing great seasonal fashions from area boutiques. All proceeds benefit Breast Cancer Support Services, a local 501 c3 nonprofit dedicated to providing support, services and resources to women, men, and families living with breast cancer.
BRA-VO will be held at a new venue this year, The Signal, 1810 Chestnut St. The fashion show features fashions from six area boutiques: Alice Blue, Abby Lane, MILK Boutique, Ruby’s Warehouse, Steinmart and Yacoubian Tailors.
Light bites to be provided by The Big Chill, Culinary Creations Catering, La Familia Mexican Restaurant and McAlister’s Deli. There will be truffle sale full of sweet surprises and a cash bar.

Healthy sexuality workshop
The Chattanooga Mayor’s Council for Women’s Healthy Sexuality Education Working Group is partnering with the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth to present a workshop on healthy sexuality.
Targeted towards parents, relative caregivers, and guardians of children, the workshop will include presentations from:
• Elizabeth Condrey, Chattanooga-Hamilton County Health Department
• Elizabeth Thomas, State of Tennessee Department of Health
• Cary Rayson, Prevent Child Abuse Tennessee
• Susan Vandergriff, A Step Ahead Chattanooga
The workshop will be held Saturday, Sept. 29, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., in the Tennessee Room of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga University Center.
While there is no fee to attend, registration is required by 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 24. Lunch will be provided.
The workshop is being organized as part of MCW’s Healthy Sexuality Education Working Group’s response to the findings from a community-wide survey about healthy sexuality which was conducted last year.
The workshops are: Puberty Talk and Self-Image, Healthy Examination Education, Gateway/Erin Laws, Birth Control: Know All the Options and Boundaries and Healthy Relationships. The outcomes of the workshop will lead to policy recommendations that meet the needs of the greater Chattanooga community. Information
Habitat for Humanity fundraise
Habitat for Humanity will host Raise the Roof, an annual fundraiser, on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 11:30 a.m. at the Chattanooga Convention and Trade Center.
