The Chattanooga Bach Choir and Chamber Orchestra will perform “Celebrate the Seasons,” featuring “Gloria” by Vivaldi and Britten’s “A Hymn to St. Cecilia,” on Sunday, Nov. 22 at 3:30 p.m. at First Christian Church, located at 650 McCallie Ave.
A $15 donation at the door is suggested.
The first half of the concert will include a set of Madrigals and other music that recalls the tradition of Christmas Madrigal Feasts, complete with a Wassail toast and the Boar’s Head Carol.
The second half of the concert will feature “Break Forth o Beauteous Heavenly Light” from J. S. Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and the famous “Ave Maria” by Franz Biebl.
