October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to increase awareness for a disease that impacts millions of people. To show support in the fight against breast cancer, FIVE and the Plastic Surgery Group have joined together to launch #DrinkPink.

During the month of October, FIVE will offer pink mimosas to restaurant patrons with proceeds benefiting the local chapter of Susan G. Komen.

“Breast cancer is a terrible disease that unfortunately affects so many. We hope this campaign will not only bring awareness, but will also help save lives,” said FIVE Owner CrisEddings.

Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death in women. It is estimated about one in eight women born in the United States will get breast cancer at some point, but it is treatable if detected early.

“Lives are being saved every day thanks to early detection. We hope ... we can raise awareness in the community regarding breast cancer, the value of early detection, and resources available to those affected by this disease,” said Dr. Jimmy Waldropof the Plastic Surgery Group.

FIVE is a restaurant concept created by partners Charles Morgan and CrisEddings. The menu features five entrees, five red wines, and five white wines that will rotate seasonally. For more information, visit www.Five-Bar.com.

Founded in 1958 and led by five board-certified physicians, The Plastic Surgery Group serves the tri-state area through multiple locations, including the Medical Mall at Erlanger. The group is also home to the Hayes Hand Center and serves as the Department of Plastic Surgery for The University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga.

#DrinkPink will be offered at FIVE located at One North Shore through the end of the month.
