Maria Chavez and Maria Ferino share more than the same first name; they also share the same work address: 6024 Shallowford Road, the home of RE/MAX Properties.
Chavez joined RE/MAX Properties this month as its newest affiliate broker. She brings 35 years of real estate experience to the office. Ferino joins Chavez as her licensed assistant. She has over 30 years of experience in human resources, and speaks both English and Spanish.
Chavez and Ferino also share the same goal as real estate agents: helping their clients buy or sell a home. To that end, Chavez says she’s making her customers her first priority. “I take great pride in being a good listener, and then sticking to what my clients have told me about their dream home,” she says.
The two agents met when Ferino chose Chavez as her agent when looking for a home after she and her husband moved from New Jersey to Chattanooga two years ago. They quickly became good friends. “ Everyone knows how scary and confusing the home buying process can be, but Maria’s attention to our needs and her demeanor and made it much more comfortable,” Ferino says.
Chavez also made a big move to Chattanooga. Before calling the Scenic City home, she lived in Miami, Fla. While she loves the region, she has even more affection for its people. “Chattanooga is beautiful, and it has great weather, but this city’s main asset is its people. This was the best move I ever made.”
