AGC highlights excellence in construction, welcomes new board

Associated General Contractors of East Tennessee honored four award recipients for outstanding contributions to the construction industry and ushered in new board leadership at its recent annual meeting.

Award recipients included:

Adman Electric for Excellence in Innovation in offering new client efficiencies through pre-fabrication processes

Wright Brothers Construction for Excellence in Education and Workforce Development in supporting and investing in career awareness and training

T.U. Parks Construction for Excellence in Safety Leadership for creating a culture that protects and ensures the welfare of employees

Jim Bivens with Stowers Rents as Ambassador of the Year for outstanding industry engagement, professional representation and volunteer contributions

“We are always proud to recognize the incredible work and dedication of our members each year during our awards ceremony,” Nic Cornelison, chair of AGC of East Tennessee said. “Our association is strong because of the efforts of our members and board.”

AGC of East Tennessee also welcomed the following new members to its board of directors:

James Tyson, president and founder of Tyson & Associates Construction Company

Robert Parks, project manager and director of safety with T.U. Parks Construction Company

Andrew Faw, president of Fulmer Concrete Construction

Richard Rose, attorney with Miller & Martin

“Our newest board members bring their talent, energy and insight to our board as we continue to grow to meet our community’s needs,” Cornelison added.

Associated General Contractors is a trade association with a member base of 250 construction companies across 22 counties. Headquartered in Chattanooga, AGC East Tennessee is focused on advocacy, education, workforce development and business support.
