The Chattanooga Symphony & Opera’s Chamber Series will return to the Chattanooga State Humanities Theatre on Sunday, Oct. 6, 3 p.m., with “All Haydn.”

The concert will feature the “Il Mondo Della Luna” overture, Symphony No. 83 and Symphony No. 82, also known as “The Bear,” by Franz Joseph Haydn.

Haydn is considered the father of the symphony and is said to have revolutionized the string quartet.

University of Washington Symphony Orchestra music director and conductor David Rahbee will join the CSO as guest conductor.

“The Humanities Theatre provides the perfect setting for these smaller ensemble performances, giving the audience an up-close look at our musicians as they perform,” says Samantha Teter, CSO executive director.

Tickets: chattanoogasymphony.org, 423 267-8583. Ticketholders will be invited to attend a post-concert discussion.
