Herman Walldorf Commercial adds two

Former Niedlov’s Breadworks owner John Sweet has joined Herman Walldorf Commercial Real Estate as an affiliate broker. The company this month also added Shelby Burr as director of marketing and client communication.

Sweet joins Ben Pitts’ team at Chattanooga’s oldest commercial real estate brokerage.

“We’re thrilled to have someone with John’s experience and reputation,” says Pitts, vice president of Herman Walldorf Commercial. “His understanding of how small businesses operate, his experiences as a real estate investor and his network of relationships will be great assets to us.”

Sweet owned and operated Niedlov’s from 2002 until he sold the bakery. Since the completion of the sale in early 2017, Sweet has consulted for various organizations including the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, Launch Chattanooga, The Company Lab and several food enterprises.

“I’m excited to be starting a new chapter in my career and eager to work with such an experienced and accomplished team,” Sweet says. “I believe my small business management experience, detail-oriented nature and drive to succeed will add value to this company.”

Burr will be responsible for client communication, driving new marketing efforts, designing branded material and boosting Herman Walldorf Commercial’s online exposure.

“We were looking for someone who could improve the way we market real estate by helping us better understand and operate social media, excel at email marketing and maximize exposure for our online listings,” says Rudy Walldorf, president of Herman Walldorf Commercial. “Shelby will do phenomenal work for us and our clients.”

“I’m thankful to be joining an incredible company and to have the opportunity to expand the digital reach of Herman Walldorf Commercial,” Burr says.

Burr comes to the company with experience at two successful Chattanooga startups: Southtree and Bellhops. With a background in email and digital marketing, Burr brings new resources to Herman Walldorf.
