Argentine food and wine will be at the heart of a cultural celebration Saturday, April 27, at The Mad Priest.

Called An Argentine Asado Experience, the event will take place 6-9 p.m. at Mad Priest’s 719 Cherry Street location.

Mad Priest hosts cultural experiences that celebrate refugees and immigrants from around the world who now call Chattanooga home. For each event, Mad Priest partners with people from that country for an authentic experience including food, music and more.

Other countries Mad Priest has celebrated through these events include India, Iraq, Venezuela and Scotland.

Argentine Asado is a celebration of seared meat, Malbec wine and community. Mariano Cebrián, a native Argentine and local wine importer, will serve as grill master.

Cebrián will slow cook over natural charcoal to allow fats to cook through the meat, leaving it leaner and tastier.

Cebrián and his wife, Angelina, of Panoram Imports, will also showcase some of their wines and share the Argentine culture through music, a movie and a slideshow of the Argentine landscape.
