Copeland, Stair, Valz & Lovell has promoted Matthew Wayne to partner in the Chattanooga office.
Wayne is a native of South Pittsburg and a 2016 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law.
He focuses on various aspects of construction and commercial enterprises, including mechanic’s liens, contractor licensing and payment issues, contracts, and counseling on federal and state compliance in employment and jobsite requirements.
Wayne is also experienced in advising and representing clients in day-to-day issues in an array of businesses and industries and defending them in litigation. This includes handling EEOC charges, OSHA violations, retainage, code and building compliance, as well as drafting subcontracts, change orders, employment, operating, noncompete and separation agreements.
Copeland Stair focuses on civil defense litigation and dispute resolution. Founded in 1970, the firm has offices in Atlanta, Georgia, Charleston, South Carolina and Chattanooga.
